Annie Jane (Ashburn) Robertson
Mrs. Annie Jane (Ashburn) Robertson, resident of Patterson, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, in the comfort of her home at the age of 92. Annie Jane was born in rural Woodruff County near McCrory on September 9, 1930, the daughter of Jeff Frank and Georgia Nellie (Little) Ashburn.

Annie Jane and Harrell Lee Robertson were united in marriage on August 9, 1946, and the couple was blessed with 65 years prior to Harrell’s passing in 2011. Annie Jane was of the Baptist faith. She worked as a homemaker and a farmer’s wife, and she owned and operated J&H Furniture Store in Patterson for more than 25 years. She loved going to antique auctions, collecting antiques, and refurbishing furniture for the store. She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and she enjoyed shopping. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially tending to her flowers and vegetable garden, working in the yard, fishing, hunting, and camping. She was also a talented seamstress and made many of her children’s clothes in her younger years.

Mrs. Robertson was preceded in death by her husband, Harrell Lee Robertson; parents, Frank and Georgia Ashburn; three brothers, Leroy, Harold, and Ray Ashburn; and four sisters, Edna Fields, Judye Criswell, Eileen Ashburn, and an infant sister.

She is survived by three sons, Billy Harrell Robertson and wife, Lynette, of Grays, Mickey Lee Robertson and wife, Mary, of Patterson, and Johnny Ray Robertson of Patterson; a daughter, Susan Ellis and husband, Leroy, of McCrory; two sisters, Mary Lawman and Marlene McDonald, both of McCrory; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren; a multitude of nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 18, 2023, in the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in McCrory with Bro. Bobby Keen officiating. Interment will follow in Woodman Cemetery near McCrory.

Friends may visit at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. to service time.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Bud Ashburn, Kenneth Ashburn, Tommy Joe Ashburn, Mark Cain, Billy Joe Robertson, Chris Robertson, and Mickey Rufe Robertson. Honorary pallbearers are Ryan Bacon, Rufe Robertson, Jr., Brandon Stuckey, and David Tucker.
