Obituary for Jennifer Richey

Jennifer Richey
Jennifer Athena Richey, resident of Wynne, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, January 12, 2024, at St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 40. Jennifer was born at Cross County Hospital in Wynne on October 11, 1983, the daughter of Paul Andrew and Cindy (Mullins) Richey.

Jennifer was a 2003 graduate of Cross County High School, and was a member of Hickory Ridge Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed drawing, visiting with friends on the telephone, cooking, baking, and playing video games. She was a Dallas Cowboys fan, and looked forward to her daily ocean slushy. She loved babies and animals, and she had a constant smile, even as she fought sickness.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her father; paternal grandparents, Jessie and Irma Jean Richey; and maternal grandparents, Andy and Christine Mullins.

She is survived by her mother, Cindy Richey and partner, Cecil Lockley, of Cherry Valley; stepfather, Donald Walker of Princeton, Texas; a sister, Gabby Walker of Princeton, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, in the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Wynne with Rev. Pat Ballard and Rev. L.J. Hoots officiating. Interment will follow in Lewis Cemetery near Hickory Ridge.

Friends may visit at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2024.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Ricky Bailey, Clay Mullins, Donald Mullins, Harold Mullins, Jimmie Mullins, and Jerry Richey.
