Lois Jane  Parks (Sides)
Mrs. Lois “Jane” (Sides) Parks, resident of Roland, Arkansas, formerly of Wynne, departed this life on Friday, May 11, 2018, in the comfort of her home at the age of 65. She was born in Wynne, Arkansas, on Saturday, June 14, 1952, the daughter of Mr. James Oscar Sides and Mrs. Cora Mae (Winters) Sides.

Jane was a graduate of Wynne High School. She enjoyed reading, watching Netflix, and exercising. She loved taking in the sights in the fall and attending family events. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Mrs. Parks was preceded in death by her parents, James and Cora Sides; her husband, Luther Gerald “Jerry” Parks; and two brothers, Donald and Carter Sides.

She is survived by two sons, Gary Wayne Parks of Faulkner County and Michael Emmitt Parks, of Roland; two brothers, Eddie Lee Sides and Freddy Dean Sides; two sisters, Barbara Sue Eldridge and Ruth Ann Sides-Hollis; two grandchildren, Lauren Rae Parks and Abigail Caitlyn Parks; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, in the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home chapel in Wynne with Brother Tony Wells officiating. Interment will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may visit at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to service time.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are James Whitten, Jeremy Sides, James Sides, James Sides, Jr., Devin Sides, and Jonathan Hollis.
